After the installation of refrigeration equipment, it is inevitable that there will still be welding slag, iron filings, oxides, sand and other residues inside the system. In order to avoid damage to the valve and unit, and to avoid clogging of the filter and pipeline, it is necessary to clean the unit before operation. Pressure gas is usually used to blow out the pipeline and system for sewage discharge, with a blowing pressure of 0.6MPa. The blowing work can use compressors, air compressors, nitrogen bottles, etc. as gas sources. For the Freon system, it is best to use nitrogen gas for blowing out, because Freon has high requirements for the system's water content, and using compressed air will inevitably bring in water. Nitrogen gas is non corrosive, moisture free, non flammable, non explosive, inexpensive, and easy to operate and use.
The sewage discharge work can be carried out in different sections and floors. The sewage outlet should be located at the lowest point of each section. When discharging, all valves in the system that come into contact with the external atmosphere should be closed, and all other valves should be fully opened. At the sewage outlet, a wooden plug can be used to block the opening of the pipe section that needs to be blown out (for safety reasons, the wooden plug is fastened with iron wire or wrapped in a hemp bag to prevent it from flying out and injuring people). When the pressure reaches 0.6MPa, knock off the wooden plug to quickly discharge the gas, in order to discharge the dirt and water in the pipeline. Repeat this process one to three times until all dirt and moisture are removed. The sewage discharge work should be carried out continuously and sequentially until all are removed.
The inspection method for sewage discharge is as follows: When discharging, place a piece of soaked white gauze or a wet white oil paint plate at a distance of 150-200mm from the sewage outlet. It is qualified if there are no obvious stains after the gas is blown. During the sewage discharge process, the valve should be opened and closed as little as possible to prevent dirt from damaging the sealing line of the valve. After the system discharge is completed, the valve core of the filter and valve should be disassembled and cleaned.
